I see “Page did not download completely. Unable to parse.” in my list of Link Errors. What does that mean?

Question: I see “Page did not download completely. Unable to parse.” in my list of Link Errors after crawling my site with InSite. What does this error mean?

Answer: This error message will appear if the page’s size exceeds the “Maximum File Size” setting in Advanced Project Settings. When this page size exceeds the Maximum File Size, InSite will not have downloaded the entire HTML/PDF/RTF document and will be unable to check it for errors (because it will have only downloaded a portion of that document).

To fix this problem, increase the Maximum File Size value (or set it to “0” for no-limit).
