Question: Inspyder OrFind is identifying all my files as orphans. What’s wrong?
Answer: OrFind will misidentify your files if either:
- The FTP path you’ve specified is not the root of your site (Remote Folder)
- The local path you’ve specified is not the root of your site (Local Folder)
Make sure that the location that OrFind is expecting your files to be in (either Remote Folder or Local Folder) is in fact where your website’s files are stored. If your site is located at a 3rd party host running Linux or Unix, you may need to specify “public_html” as your Remote Folder.
If you are checking your site via FTP Server, connect to it with your FTP client and manually locate your files. Use the sub-folder that your website’s files are located in as the “Remote Folder” value.
If you are checking your site via Local Disk use the Browse (…) button to locate your website’s files.
