When crawling a site I get the following error message: “The following error occurred when trying to crawl: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.”

This error occurs if you’re running an Inspyder version 4 or older product on a secure (HTTPS) website that no longer supports SSLv3. All version 4 products (and earlier) only support SSLv3. Many websites have recently disabled SSLv3 in favor of the more secure, TLS (1.0-1.2).

To resolve this problem, please upgrade your product to version 5 from this page. All version 5 Inspyder products support TLS.

Additional information:

• If you have .NET 4.0 installed TLS 1.0 is supported.
• If you have .NET 4.5 installed TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are also supported.
