Question: When I click Auto-Detect it doesn’t detect any words. What’s wrong?
Answer: InSite’s “Auto-Detect” feature works by looking at the occurrence patterns of misspelled words. If a word occurs with enough regularity, then it is added to the word list. If InSite isn’t detecting any words on your site, then one of two things may have happened:
- You haven’t crawled enough pages
- Your specialty words don’t occur often enough
Fixing this is easy enough; click the ‘Options’ button (the Wrench icon) and adjust the Auto-Detect sensitivity control. The ‘Maximum’ setting makes InSite MORE sensitive, so it will pick-up more words. If Auto-Detect is detecting misspelled words, you may want to try a setting closer to the ‘Minimum’ sensitivity.
